When cruising do you have a spare engine in case of an emergency, and do you know what to do ? I have a spare outboard installed just in case. Have you had any dreaded moments ?
I often thought what would happen if my outboard engine packed in while under way. So I decided to install a spare out board for an emergency . Outboard engines are not so easy to fix out at sea. Anybody out there had any such problems ?
Had some freinds out from Germany for a short break. The weather was great ( first time in a long while since they had seen the sun ) , so we enjoyed a nice day cruising around Bolnuevo. Checkout about to view video.
Have been trawling off the back of my friend's boat the last couple of weeks here in Spain. My friend's rod to port and my rod to starboard.
All is well then we haul in thinking we have a catch, only to find we have caught each other.
Then the hard work begins unraveling the lines and the hooks, its great therapy.
We don't catch much never stressed, have a good laugh and a few beers at the end.
It was a long holiday weekend here in hot sunny Bolnuevo, so no progress on the boat. Every one was having a good time, including me. Terry.
Had to take the boat out of the water, had problems starting the Mercury outboard engine.
It was my fault because we had some bad weather a while back here in Bolnuevo, Spain. The boat had not been out of the marina for a spin for some time, so the battery has not been charged plus every thing on the boat was very damp. There is a morale there.
Don't make excuses take the dog for a walk even in the rain.
